Fostering Healing & Co-Dialogue in Mannar | ONUR Socio-Economic Program
The Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR) initiated the Co-Dialogue (Saha Sanvada) program in the Mannar District, marking the first day of a dedicated 3-day psychosocial initiative.
Designed to bring essential social support and mental well-being to communities heavily impacted by prolonged displacement and war-related trauma, this session brought together 100 participants from two targeted areas:
• Paalaiperumalkadu Village (Manthai West Divisional Secretariat) – 50 Participants
• Maruthamadu Village (Musali Divisional Secretariat) – 50 Participants
Through guided interactive activities, expressive art therapy, movement exercises, and group dialogue, beneficiaries shared their journeys, expressed long-standing burdens, and took meaningful steps toward collective healing. The active and open engagement of both communities contributed significantly to creating a safe, supportive space for reconciliation and emotional recovery.
ONUR remains committed to uplifting affected communities by fostering social integration, emotional resilience, and sustainable peace.
