ONUR and Ministry of Education Launch Teacher Training to Promote National Unity & Reconciliation
The first program of the co-dialogue teacher training initiative titled “Transformative Classroom Teacher Training“, jointly organized by the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR) and the Ministry of Education to promote national unity and reconciliation, commenced on October 14, 2026, at the Yakarawatta Teacher Training Center in Kuliyapitiya.
Held from October 14 to 16, 2026, this program aims to train officers from the Teacher Educator Service representing Teacher Centers in the North Western and North Central provinces as trainers (TOT).
Dr. Ravindra Ranasinghe and his resource team served as the primary resource persons, along with Mr. Susantha Kumara, Assistant Director of the Education and Conflict Transformation Division at the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, and a group of officers from the Teacher Educator Service
