A training program for teacher educators in the Western Province—launched on November 1, 2026, through a collaboration between the Ministry of Justice’s Office for National Unity and Reconciliation and the Ministry of Education—aims to foster the creation of “transformative classrooms.” Establishing a non-violent school culture is an essential priority today. There is a pressing need for teachers who are both dialogical and creative. It is vital to shift the role of the teacher from that of an authoritative lecturer to that of a co-dialogue partner and co-learner. Children who learn in the classroom with joy, personal fulfillment, critical thinking, and creativity serve as a valuable resource for the future progress of the nation.
