The Awareness and Planning Program of the Radio Media Program

The awareness and planning program of the radio media program, which is being implemented jointly with the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation under the leadership of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, commenced today, 19.05.2026, at the main lecture hall of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. The program will be attended by 12 National Integration Officers representing 06 districts, 12 representatives representing regional radio services, officers of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, and a group of officers of the Broadcasting Corporation. The inaugural lecture was delivered by the Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation, Professor Uditha Gayashan Gunasekara, while the Chairman of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, Senior Lecturer Vijith Rohan Fernando, delivered remarks. The lectures will be conducted by veteran lecturer Nuwan Subhasinghe and it is expected that through this two-day workshop, awareness will be raised about the program being implemented jointly by the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation and the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation and the preparation of an action plan for that program.
