We Sri Lankans for a Healed Society”: Reconciliation Art Forum Draws Overwhelming Response in Matale

The We Sri Lankans for a healed Society Art Forum program was held on August 21st at the Matale Hotel School Theater with great success. In this program, the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation organized a photo exhibition “The Third Eye of Reconciliation” of the photography program conducted by the Monaragala and Mannar districts in 2025. Also, two performances of the Yakawewata Nandikadal stage play were held and a discussion with groups with real life experiences on the theme of the Yakawewata Nandikadal drama was a special occasion. Representing the Matale District Secretary, the Additional District Secretary, the Matale Divisional Secretary and other prominent state officials, along with members of Sahajeewana Sangams, members of the District Art Forum, the Education Office, civil organizations and other state officials covering the entire district participated. It should be noted that this program also attracted nearly two thousand people, exceeding the expected audience target. The operational activities of the program were carried out by the District and Regional National Integration Officers, while all other ranks of the District Secretariat contributed to this.
