Religious based reconciliation related projects (CES)
Religious-based reconciliation projects are initiatively aimed to addressing difference between various religious groups, promoting peace, and fostering mutual understanding. These projects often focus on addressing the root causes of conflicts, encouraging interfaith dialogue, and striving to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
As part of the Clean Sri lanka program, launched ‘We Sri Lankans’ concept by the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, these projects are designed to raise awareness of the We Sri Lankan concept, promote reconciliation and inspire a social shift towards peace.
By targeting members of co-existence societies, the program ensures that these societies remain active and engaged at all times. This approach means that the benefits and awareness provided to society members will ensure ongoing participation in grassroots activities, including early warning systems and information dissemination. This will guarantee a continuous and direct contribution at the community level, ensuring the office’s other activities are sustained.
