Reconciliation related Drama in multi-language

Drama has become a widely popular medium for discussing social issues across the world. Through critique, it can also help to highlight the weaknesses in society and, especially, play an important role in promoting positive and constructive concepts. Drama has a unique ability to nurture sensitive individuals and encourage the development of progressive and positive ideas through their perspective. Cooperation between different ethnic groups is a vital factor for a country’s social and economic development.

As a special intervention, the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation plans to develop a therapeutic narrative through dramatization, providing an opportunity for individuals to share their personal experiences. This initiative also aims to contribute to future generations of performers with a vision for peace. As part of an exchange project, the program is designed to promote cooperation and understanding among different ethnic groups, which will contribute to the development of sustainable peace.

Furthermore, this program will offer an additional approach to reducing the challenges caused by poverty. It also provides a chance to redirect young people, who might otherwise be wasting time, towards constructive and meaningful engagements. Through this process, social conflicts will be minimized, and these young people will be encouraged to move toward a self-sustaining economy. The newly introduced performers will always approach dramatization in a peaceful manner, reinforcing the necessary foundations for sustainable peace.

Additionally, by incorporating the theme of “We Sri Lankans,” this program targets and engages community organizations, ensuring they remain active at the grassroots level. Through the benefits and awareness raised within these organizations, which include early warning and notification systems, it will ensure continuous and active participation in the office’s efforts.
