Launch of the official website of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation and the Early Warning and Notification System – 13 February 2026
The re launch of the official website of this office with a new interface and the launch of the related sub-website, and the introduction of the Early Warning and Notification System on National Unity and Reconciliation were held today, 13.02.2026, at the Sri Lanka Development Administration Institute, Colombo, under the patronage of the Minister of Justice, Mr. Harshana Nanayakkara, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Digital Economic Development, Mr. Eranga Weeraratne, and with the participation of a large number of government officials of the executive rank and National Integration Officers at the district and divisional levels, National Integration Officers scattered across the island through the online system, and members of coexistence socity. The Chairman of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, Mr. Wijith Rohan Fernando, welcomed the participants and explained the purpose of the program, while officials of the Ministry of Digital Economy explained the functioning of the early warning and notification system. After that, the new website of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation was launched and awareness was provided by the Director General of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, Ms. Sanduni Ariyawansa. After that, the Deputy Minister of Digital Economic Development, Mr. Eranga Weeraratne, spoke and finally, the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Mr. Harshana Nanayakkara, added his thoughts and greetings. The Assistant Director of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, Mr. H.S. Lakmal, thanked the attendees and concluded the program.
