Second Sahodara Pasal for Prospective Teachers held in Sripada

Sahodara Pasal ( Sahodara Padasalai ), a residential camp, for prospective teachers held at the College of Education in Sripada was successfully completed on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Around 180 prospective teachers representing three National Colleges of Education, Sripada, Uva and Addalachchenei, participated in the programme.

A five-day residential camp organised by the Officer for National Unity and Reconciliation ( ONUR) in participation of the Ministry of Education aims to share experiences through cross-cultural activities and understanding the role of the teachers in peacebuilding and reconciliation.

This was the second residential camp for prospective teachers.

ONUR was set up with the commitment to achieve national unity and reconciliation was a key feature of January 2015 Presidential campaign. To give effect to this commitment, the Government of Sri Lanka established the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR).
